Grilled Peaches and Cream Margarita

Mother’s Day (or any day) Cocktail Recipe

I will never forget calling my mother 5 days after the birth of my first daughter and saying through tears “Thank you… I had no idea”. Becoming a mother made me so grateful for everything my own mother had done for me. The sleepless nights, bandaids on scratched knees, lunch boxes, cuddles on tap and carrying the large mental load. Mother’s, Aunties, Grandmothers and caregivers we salute! Because where would we be without mothers.

Ingredients

(Serves 2)

2 shots tequila
1 shot triple sec or orange liqueur
1/2 shot lime juice
1/2 shot maple syrup
2 shots peach puree
2 shots cream
Salt
Brown sugar
Slice of a peach coated in brown sugar and grilled until charred and caramelised

Steps

In a cocktail shaker add tequila, orange liqueur lime juice, maple syrup, peach puree and cream and shake well.

Make a salt and brown sugar mix (equal parts salt and brown sugar) for the rim of your glasses. Rub lime onto the rim of your glasses and press mix onto the glass.

Pour Margarita into glasses over ice. Garnish with grilled peach and sprigs of bush mint (or any mint).
