Style your Christmas Table with Emma and Victoria
Nothing sets the mood more on Christmas Day than walking into a home to a beautifully set table. It just says “this is going to be special”… It doesn’t have to be major, time-consuming or expensive. Simple, soulful and heartfelt is what we are all about. I styled this years Christmas table top inspiration in our new flagship store located in Habitat Byron Bay. This years table styling mood is Australian Christmas… Here is what we did.
Invest in classic lifetime items that you will use over and over and even pass down to your children. The table started with The Beach People Linen. I chose our white linen table cloth, napkins and stripe coasters. I have added a video of some fun easy ways to fold napkin below. Next I added our custom designed set of ceramics from local maker Yucca and Stone. The most stunning addition to our table that we will treasure for years to come and also available at our flagship store for purchase. I found a vintage set of knives and forks in Brunswick, I love mixing old and new, it’s always so pretty.
Lastly the foliage. For our Christmas table we used olive leaf, magnolia leaves, pine, dried wheat and dried grass. You can watch the film below on how to layer a green garland on the table. Very simple and easy. You can really go as big or as small as you like.
As I was walking out of my house I noticed these fine brown sticks hanging from the bottom of a tree. I cut some off and twisted them together to make some tiny wreaths for each dinner plate. Took about 30 secs and adds such a nice texture to the table.
I wish you many happy holiday memories this festive season…
Enjoy, Emma xo
