The Tulum and The Montauk Design Stories
HOLA! SALTY, SUN DRENCHED DAYS BY THE SEA, FOLLOWED BY BALMY NIGHTS.
A circular design inspired from the round ancient Mayan calendar, a tribute to the sandy landscape of this Mexican town and the ancient Maya civilisations that once lived there. The black and cream colour way comes straight from the stone walls of the Coqui Coqui.
“I had been hearing wonderful things about Tulum, in particular this gorgeous location Coqui Coqui for some time now. It seemed only fitting that we shoot our new range on location with our dear friend Sheree. The tones of the landscape were picked for this towel. Enjoy it poolside or seaside.” – Emma
IT’S FRIDAY NOON AND THE HAMPTON’S ARE CALLING. HEAD NORTH FROM THE CITY, IT’S TIME TO ESCAPE, PACK YOUR SWIMSUIT A ROSÉ AWAITS.
Inspiration from a seaside town in New York called for large nautical stripes and the grey colour of course comes from the weathered boards of the Surflodge. We couldn't go past a tribal motif for an ode to its name and the native American tribe who originally inhabited that part of of Long Island.
“Last Summer we were fortunate enough to venture to the seaside town of Montauk in the Hamptons, NY. Well… weren’t we just blown away! The locals were friendly, the surf idyllic, the architecture, the lobster rolls, the rosé, the surflodge… the food! If it wasn’t on the other side of the world, Em and I would spend every weekend there, so we designed a towel in memory instead.” – Victoria
