The Paloma and The Santorini Design Stories

THE PALOMA

YOUR FRENCH COMPANION FOR THE COTÈ D’AZUR, IT’S LIKE A DECK CHAIR IN AN INCH OF WATER, IT’S LIKE COOL CHAMPAGNE ON THE LIPS.

PALOMA-1

Really what is more French than a thin black and white striped t-shirt? We took inspiration from that and came up with a sweeping design of layered stripes. A perfectly French towel. Paloma is a cobbled beach lined with deck chairs in the Cotè D'Azur, you might remember our first collection was shot there in collaboration with Captain and the Gypsy Kid.

“I honeymooned in France where I wore this stripped shirt all through Paris, and it has always stuck with me as an aesthetic that obviously suits. When picking our favourite beaches, the Cote D’Azur was top of the list, and the stripes were an obvious choice.” – Victoria

THE SANTORINI

YOUR GREEK TANNED SKIN SITS PRETTY AGAINST THE STARK WHITE WALLS, LET’S PEAK OUT OVER THE BLUE DOME ROOFS,
LET’S WRAP OURSELVES UP WITH THE AEGEAN SEA.

It's no secret we love white & blue, both such quintessential coastal colours and where else are they are perfectly on show but the Greek Islands. We just love the contrast of the deep blues of the Aegean sea against the stark white exteriors of the buildings in Santorini with their blue dome roofs. So we designed a towel to take sailing around the Aegean!

We’ve always loved the contrast of the blue and white landscapes seaside of Greece, in which our family loves sailing. In fact, I spent the first three years of my life on a boat before Victoria was born. This towel is inspired by sailing adventures in the Aegean, viewing the cliffs of Santorini! Bliss.” – Emma
