Beach Cart Care

Victoria here, I just thought I would drop a line to chat about caring for our Beach Carts.

Like any wood that spends time outdoors take care to varnish/seal the wood a few times a year, we recommend a clear marine grade varnish. Look for words like “exterior” “timber seal” “timber varnish” “water repellant” “UV resistant” “outdoor furniture”. Available from your local hardware store.

To ensure wheels and steel do not rust from sea water and outdoor exposure we advise that you wipe them down after use, like you would if you take your car or bike onto a sandy beach seaside. For further coverage you can also spray with a rust prevention spray if you live super close to the beach or use your cart every other day. Spot clean any marks on the wood. Once dry, ensure your cart is protected and undercover when not in use.
