A Valentine's Day Dessert

Cancel your dinner reservation and create an intimate date night at home for you and your special someone. It's not Valentine's Day without chocolate, so finish your night on a sweet note with this fig and chocolate panna cotta. Created by our friend, Maddy Trueman, this delicious, creamy dessert is designed to be shared, and is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Fig & Chocolate Panna Cotta for Two

Ingredients

270ml coconut milk (Ayam brand is recommended)

60g milk or dark chocolate of your choice, chopped

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

1 tsp grass fed gelatin

3 tbsp water

1-2 tsp raw honey (optional)

1 fig, cut into quarters

2 strawberries, cut into quarters

Handful of blueberries

Method

  1. Add gelatin and water to a small bowl, mix until combined. Set aside to bloom for 20 minutes.

  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, simmer coconut milk. Gently stir through chocolate, vanilla and honey. Mix until smooth and combined. Remove from heat and whisk through gelatin.

  3. Pour mixture into bowl of your choice. Set in fridge for one hour, top with fruit, then return to the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes or until set. Serve cold with two spoons!
