Meet: Cranmore Home

Hey folks! WE are so so happy to introduce to you one of Western Australia's finest homewares stores, Cranmore Home and its delightful owner Tracy!

Hooray!

If you do not already know of this fine store...Where have you been!? and Why!??

We can help you with that problem...just read below

/ WHO & WHAT ARE YOU...

I am Tracy Lefroy, proud owner and curator of Cranmore Home – my store located in the wheatbelt of Western Australia. To complement my bricks + mortar store, I also showcase my Australian-designed homewares, art and fashion online at cranmorehome.com.au The website is by far and away the most important element from a business point-of-view but I love having a shop where I can showcase my wares and share my passion for design.

/ WHAT'S TO LOVE ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE...?

Absolutely everything! I love that I am able to live my ideal life on our family farm with my beautiful husband and three kids (beautiful most days, terrors others!) whilst still following my dream of showcasing Australian designers. My favourite thing would actually be two things; firstly I love living on my family farm with my husband, three kids and oodles of livestock, my second favourite would be the incredible community of friends upon whom I rely for laughter, support and wine!

/ WHAT TUNES DO YOU WORK BY...?

Depends on the weather, my mood… but really anything that keeps me buzzing along! This week Bec, Jess and I humming along to London Grammar, Huskie and a mixed jazz album which I stole from my Mum (sorry mum!) … im just pumped when music isn’t the Wiggles!

/ WHAT STUFF ARE YOU SELLIN'...?

Well, I only stock work by Australian designers, so all things incredible within the Australian design-scene. I collect (oops, that sounds suspiciously like I may never sell them… my weakness!) pieces that appeal to me aesthetically, whilst never compromising on their functionality. Cranmore Home showcases everything from small handmade candleholders made at foundry in regional NSW, to limited edition art prints by the likes of Belynda Henry and larger furniture items such as beds from Green Cathedral. My favourites at the moment? Ummm I would go with our new geo plant pouches by Freo gal Kate Marsh, all things velvety and delicious by Kip + Co (I have a major bedlinen addiction!) and the pendant lights I have collection from my fave Australian designers as something of a focus this winter.

/ WHERE DO YOU GAIN INSPIRATIONS...?

I gain inspiration from so many places – from the changing colours of the farm landscape as we finally get some rainfall, to my most favourite instagram’mers ! I am a very visual person, so sometimes the oddest things will spark an interest for me. So often, I will have in mind textures, patterns and colours and I will find thatI curate a season’s collection will centre around this. This winter, for example, my love of texture is manifesting with my edit of products including velvet, mixed timbers, hand painted concrete and incredibly soft wool and cashmere textiles made lovingly in to cushions, scarves and rugs. I have just seen the incredible winter collection from one of favourites, Laura over at Once Was Lost and have completely fallen in love with her cashmere scarves– divine!

THANKS TRACY!!! We got a good giggle from reading this! WE LOVE your store and online shop!

Big love

xx TBP
