Hey Sea Lovers,

Victoria here, it’s been another lap around the sun and I just wanted to touch base to say hello, Happy Holidays, and to wish you and your family the most wonderful year ahead.

We have had a great, big, wild, and all in all, lovely year at The Beach People. We have launched new products (hello everyday slides), collaborated with friends (Elsa Pataky Sarong), shipped our things all over the world, welcomed new people to our team, and farewelled others onto maternity leave... It really has been a good one.

I personally am thankful to do another year in business with my sister and best friend. We dreamed of this as kids and pinch ourselves every day that this is what we get to do for work.

My sister and I started this business 10 Summers ago and from the beginning, we have chosen to do our best to “live the life we want to live now”. What this meant for us was making sure that things that are most important to us get front and center in our lives. It’s easy to let our lives be ruled by our phones, emails, and daily demands. It’s the most important things that don’t often demand our time.

From the beginning of our Beach People journey, we have prioritized a day off to the seaside here and there, holidays with family, and times where peace rules. It’s not always easy, but 10 years later we are glad we didn’t wait for all the stars to align into this perfect symmetry, to take a break, spend time with the kids and rest.

Emma and I, and our team would love to encourage you this year to invite some daily rhythms of rest into your home, a dip in the ocean, a walk seaside, or a meal shared with friends. We want to encourage you to live the life you want this year, don’t wait, you won’t regret it.
